Lucas Houchin enters his first year with the Hawks Men’s Basketball Program. He brings valuable experience from being a student manager at Missouri State University and the University of Kentucky with him to the Hawks program. During his time at the University of Kentucky, Houchin worked with NBA lottery picks De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, and Bam Adebayo. He is also very active with summer basketball camps, having worked at the University of Kentucky, University of Utah, University of Nevada Las Vegas, University of Dayton, and Marquette University.

“I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work at Howard College for Coach Raines. His values of hark work- both in athletics and academics-, integrity, and generosity are evident in his actions, and are reflected in the players as well. I am learning to be a better coach and person each day under Coach Raines’ tutelage,” said Houchin.

Houchin received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
