Assistant Coach Jeff Mailhot
Coaching Career
Jeff Mailhot was named a Howard College assistant coach in June 2009 and is entering his first season at the collegiate level.
Prior to joining the Hawks, Mailhot spent two years as an assistant coach at Hopkins High School in Minnesota, in 2006-2007 and 2008-2009 winning one state 4A title with a combined record of 58-2. While at Hopkins, he led the freshmen team to both state titles going 30-2 as the head coach. He also spent one year assisting Cooper High School (Minnesota) helping them to a 4th place finish in the 4A state tournament.
Additionally, Mailhot both coached and recruited for the Howard Pulley Panters AAU program, a Nike Elite team for three summers working our twenty Division 1 players over that time span. Most recently, including two top 100 players, Rodney Williams Jr. and Royce White, both of whom are attending the University of Minnesota.
Athletic Career
Mailhot, 28, began his collegiate career in medical redshirting at Valparaiso University before transferring to San Jacinto Junior College for one season and we ranked #1 in the country and ended 30-2. He then played at the University of California, Riverside for two years tearing his second ACL in his first season. His career ended at California Baptist University (NAIA) where they made the national tournament and reached the Sweet 16.
Mailhot graduated cum laude from CBU in December 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
