Assistant Coach Nicole Dickson is in her first season as an assistant with the Howard softball program. She comes to HC from Hardin-Simmons University, where she was the graduate assistant softball coach and earned her master's in Education in kinesiology, sports science, and sports management.

She finished playing her collegiate career at Eastern New Mexico, where she was a pitcher for the Greyhounds. At ENMU she posted a 22-14 record in the circle while playing for Armando Quiroz and Amber Daniel She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in health and physical education. She was the 2008 undergraduate of the year at ENMU and also won her Major of the Year Award.

Prior to that, she played at Howard College where she had a perfect GPA and received an associate's in science degree. She was an all-conference selection as a pitcher with a 19-4 record. She also hit .348 for her career.

She was a pitcher, first basemen and outfielder during her career. She played high school ball at Monahans. She is the Daughter of Edwin and Kim Dickson and has a brother, Andy.
