Women’s Basketball Coach, John Ishee’s review of the March 8th game against Clarendon.

The Howard Hawks Traveled to Clarendon Texas for a WJCAC and Region 5 road game . The Lady Hawks trailed 4-2 early he led 8-7 after 1 quarter of play and never looked back after that. The Lady Hawks Built leads of 16 and 14 on 3 different occasions. The Lady Bulldogs of Clarendon fought back to trail by 4 at the End of 3 periods 32-28. The Lady Hawks Regrouped and had its Biggest Scoring quarter of the Quarter on Dead Eye Shooting from Sophomore Tatym Barnes . Timely interior passing and clutch Free Throws down the stretch by Anais Bonnemaison and Kayla  Massop proved to be to much for the home standing Lady Bulldogs. Barns had a Game high 26 points for the Hawks along with 5 Rebs. 4 other Lady Hawks had 5 or more Rebounds as Well Anais Bonnemaison Sumaiyah Abdur Rahim,  Kayla Massop, Mikayla Malik, and Char Robinson. Ishee credits the entire teams Tenacious Defense and Rebounding as two big factors in the win. Any time you hold 1 of the Leagues best shooting teams in their building to 19 % shooting and their leading scorer scoreless , I can’t say enough about our entire team. We will need another outstanding Team effort this Saturday at 2 pm when Frank Phillips rolls into Dorothy Garrett Coliseum.
