Women’s Basketball Coach, John Ishee’s review of the March 13th game against Frank Phillips.

The Howard Lady Hawks won their 3 rd straight Region5 WJCAC conference game on Saturday afternoon defeating the Frank Phillips Lady Plainsman 84-78. The game saw multiple momentum swings. The home-standing Lady Hawks jumped out to a 28-15 first Quarter lead off the hot shooting of Samyiah Abdur Rahim, and Kayla Massop. The tables were turned however in the second quarter and the visiting FPC erupted for a 30 point quarter to go into the half with a 45-40 lead. The 3rd quarter was back in forth with several lead changes, in the Fourth Quarter, defensive tenacity, Clutch 3 point shots from Mikayla  Malik, Anais Bonnemaison Claudia Hernandez, and free throws proved to be the difference in this one. The Lady Hawks win 84-78. We had balanced scoring with 4 in double figures. Rahim with 17, Malik 17, Barnes 10, and Robinson with 10. The Lady Hawks are Back in action on Monday, March 22.
