Meagan Schrader graduated from Granbury High School in 2010 and this is where she found her passion for Sports Medicine her senior year when she was a student athletic trainer. She was then accepted into the 2 year Athletic Training program at Howard College in Big Springs TX. She worked very closely and learned all she could from her mentor, John Overton, aka Doc. He helped her get into the Athletic Training program at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) in Canyon Texas. This is where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training. While continuing her studies at WTAMU, she worked off-campus for two years with a professional indoor arena football team called Amarillo Venom.  Meagan enjoyed WTAMU and living in Canyon but was determined to obtain her Masters degree. She enrolled in Angelo State University (ASU) where she obtained a masters degree in Education Leadership and Development. In between studies she was the Athletic Trainer for an arena football team called San Angelo Bandits. After ASU she got her first job at Midland High School as the Head Athletic Trainer. Meagan worked for MHS for 4 years before deciding to return home to Howard College. She continues to learn and grown in her field and plans to help those interested in following the path to becoming an Athletic Trainer. Meagan truly enjoys helping others accomplish their goals, whether it is in the gym, on the field, or in the classroom, she is there for her students!
