Nathalie “Nat” De La Torre is in her first year with the Hawks of Howard College. She was a standout athlete at Brownwood High School, but unfortunately suffered injuries of her own that carried on into college. After high school graduation, she went on to Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) to pursue a college softball career. During her time at HSU, she developed a love for sports medicine and sports performance. As she spent countless hours in the training room with her own knee rehabilitation, she saw what an athletic trainer could do for an athlete mentally, physically, and as a whole.

De La Torre earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2015. The following year she graduated with a Master’s in Kinesiology while working as a graduate assistant in the HSU Human Performance Lab. Nat graduated from the MSAT program at Tarleton State in 2019 and is now a licensed and certified Athletic Trainer. She’s a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the South West Athletic Trainers Association, and Texas State Athletic Trainers Association.
